Experienced MIG & TIG Welder required for family run business based in Plympton. The successful candidate will be required to interpret specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding processes. You will join, fabricate and repair metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating various welding devices. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity for a candidate who can demonstrate the appropriate welding skills and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Mig/Tig welding (predominantly Mig).
2. Combination of jig work and developing jigs for a series of customers.
3. Responsible for adhering to a production schedule.
4. Ensure that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and secured.
5. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Essential Experience / Qualifications and Attributes Required:
1. Mig/Tig Production welding experience.
2. Capable of welding various metals such as mild steel and stainless steel.
3. Experienced with reading drawings and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
4. Excellent attention to detail.
The successful candidate must be able to work a day shift pattern comprising of Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 15:30 and Friday's finish at 07:00 to 14:30.
