We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Business Tax team as an assistant manager in Tunbridge Wells, responsible for tax compliance and advisory services for a wide range of business clients. The primary responsibility will be managing a portfolio of clients. You will provide assistance to Managers and Senior Managers in delivering client work and will be involved in special assignments and advisory projects on an ad hoc basis.
Key Skills and Experience
* Relevant tax experience gained within the profession or industry
* Technically capable tax adviser who can assist in complex client work
* Exemplary organisational and communication skills
* Keen to learn more and expand technical knowledge
* Strong IT skills including practical knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Starting to gain staff management/mentoring/supervisory experience
* Ability to motivate staff to ensure best performance
* Demonstrable ability to organise self and others to work on several different assignments simultaneously
* Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, directors, staff, and other professionals
* Ability to proactively monitor costs against budget for individual clients
* Demonstrable experience of supervising others and delegation of work
* Demonstrable experience of managing people
* Proven project management skills
* Evidence of managing a small client portfolio
