Role Overview:
Reporting to the Programme Manager, this role will be responsible for overseeing all work completed on client sites during the build phase of our programmes. Ensuring all work completed meets the appropriate regulations and standards of health, safety and quality, you’ll manage compliance and risks on site and conduct inspections and audits.
This role will require travel to client sites during construction.
Main job functions:
1. Manage work completed on site, ensuring work meets expected standards of quality, comparing it to project drawings and specifications.
2. Oversee and take accountability for health and safety on site, managing risk and the activities undertaken by Contractors and Engineers.
3. Ensure that all construction work adheres to all CDM and safety regulations.
4. Approve all completed work and complete sign-off certifications, following the process of certifying works complete to the Contract and Commercial team for payment.
5. Oversee all works completed on site, advising on technical issues where required and ensuring work progresses in line with project timelines.
6. Identify and document any discrepancies between the work and the project specifications, taking proactive steps to rectify any issues.
7. Act as a key point of contact on site for install partners, Programme Managers, Programme Coordinators and clients, ensuring seamless communication of information between all parties.
8. Support the onboarding and offboarding processes of all install partners.
9. Produce regular reports to update the client and business.
Experience/qualifications required:
1. Significant site supervision experience, with experience of supervising multi-disciplinary projects (Electrical and Civil works).
2. Holds CSCS Supervisor card.
3. Previously completed Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) and NRSWA Street Works Supervisor course.
4. Experience of working with cross-functional teams, able to lead and facilitate effective communication across teams and functions.
5. Team player, able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including install partners, and able to instil collaborative working on site.
6. Strong leader, confident and comfortable supervising teams on site, able to ensure compliance and the completion of work to deadline.
7. Highly organised with demonstrable project management skills.
8. Thrives in a busy working environment, performs well under pressure, able to meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
