A leading engineering services provider to the defence sector is seeking a Senior Mechanical CAD Engineer to join their Hardware Engineering team. In this role, you will bring expertise in designing and developing maritime control and instrumentation systems, supporting the full project lifecycle from concept to qualification. Key Responsibilities CAD Design: Produce mechanical part drawings and General Assemblies (GA) using Creo. Documentation & Standards: Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOM); define and apply GD&T and BS 8888 standards, materials, and finishes. Support: Provide technical support to the Mechanical Design Engineering team, ensuring compliance with project requirements. Maintenance: Manage documents and drawings through development and production changes. Required Experience Proficiency in CAD design with experience in mechanical CAD roles. Familiarity with GD&T and BS 8888 standards. Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and materials. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., automotive, aviation, defence, rail).
