HR Administrative Assistant – Hybrid / Reading Office We are currently looking for a Human Resources Administrative Assistant to support our Talent Manager. The successful candidate will be highly organised, have exceptional problem-solving and diplomacy skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Strong face-to-face and written communication skills and a proven ability to quickly develop engaging professional relationships are also essential. Key duties will include: People administration o Manage employment status change letters and update the HR database o Assist in ensuring that HR documentation is kept up to date o Ensure background and reference checks are completed for new hires o Create CMAP profiles for new starters and keep them updated o Organise the schedule of on-boarding meetings for all new starters o Complete employment checks, including verification of right to work o Monitor work anniversaries and organise the appropriate acknowledgement o Liaise with our benefits providers, providing them with timely information of joiners/leavers o Assist employees with HR-related questions Recruitment o Set up remote writing and literacy tests for candidates o Share tests with internal senior staff and provide candidates with regular updates o Support with the scheduling of interviews o Develop electronic files for each candidate o Ensure recruitment trackers are kept up to date o Advertise entry-level vacancies on university job boards and keep them updated o Organise and attend recruitment fairs at universities and other events General administration o Assist in payroll preparation when required o Coordinate HR projects and training courses o Monitor outstanding leave and provide line managers with timely reports o Assist with updating role profiles as appropriate o Maintain the freelance database o Maintain the internal skills database Desired background and skills o Educated to degree level o Experience in an HR administrative role would be an advantage o Strong literacy and numeracy skills, and excellent attention to detail o Confident in Microsoft Office suite o A strong work ethic and a solution-focused ‘can do’ attitude Applications To apply, please send your CV and a cover letter to careersporterhousemedical.com for the attention of Jan Coetzee (Talent Manager).
