The successful candidate will have a proven track record of improving educational provision and outcomes for young people with special educational needs, with significant experience at a middle or senior leadership level of leading on raising standards in pupil outcomes. Reporting to the Deputy Headteacher, this role will focus on the needs of our students at our secondary site. We require a candidate who has: significant experience of working in a special school at a leadership level experience of the wide range of profiles and needs of Autistic children and young people a proven ability of developing staff a strong belief that pupils who have severe learning difficulties and multiple learning difficulties can achieve the enthusiasm and commitment to always look for ways to improve their own professional practice knowledge and experience of leading and embedding consistent good practice in all areas of safeguarding and health & safety compliance, behaviour and attendance a positive attitude and a commitment to remain positive especially in difficult situations excellent communication skills with the ability to show sensitivity and objectivity in dealing with confidential issues Interviews will be held on 10 December 2024.
