Administrator Team Lead for Paediatric Community Service

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced administrator to lead a small team of administrators within our paediatric community service in Enfield. The team works directly to the Child Development Team and is accountable to the Service Lead.
This post will suit a candidate who has leadership experience or is ready to take the next step in their career.
This post is an on-site position; however, flexible working can be considered for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to Paediatrics. The post holder is expected to apply expert knowledge of patient pathways and administrative procedures to provide supervision and leadership in the delivery of a high-quality, effective, and efficient service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients, with a focus on delivering a positive patient experience and excellent customer service.
The post holder will be required to work closely with other members of the administrative team and clinical teams, including managers, administrators, nursing and medical staff, allied health professionals, and support workers, and liaise with a range of staff internally and externally across the Trust and with partner and external organisations.
In addition, as the most senior member of the specialty administration function, the post holder will take on delegated duties from divisional management team members.
Job responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the provision of an efficient, focused administrative service, supporting the achievement of the service and planning and organizing the work of administrative and secretarial services across a range of administrative functions that underpin the patient pathway.
Person Specification
Education/Qualification
* Degree or equivalent relevant experience
* Courses/further study attended to demonstrate evidence of personal development
* Strong working knowledge and proficiency in the use of Outlook package - PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Word as well as Access, Somerset, CIP, and Cancer Alliance
* Experience of partnership working
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Understanding the changing NHS environment and its impact on service provision and staff
Skills and abilities
* Ability to maintain excellent communication channels and good customer service
* Maintain a high level of professionalism in manner
* Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative to prioritize tasks
* Good interpersonal skills having a friendly and approachable manner
* Proactive, forward-thinking, quick problem-solving attitude

* Previous experience of working with the public and/or patients in a healthcare environment
* Experience of interaction with all levels of staff
* Previous administrative and organizational experience
