About the Department: Soas Library is the Uk’s National Research library for the study of Asian and Africa. Our Japan and Korea research collections attract scholars from around the world. The library has holdings of 1.3m volumes in Western and vernacular languages. The Library has unique historical, special and contemporary collections for the study and research of these regions. About the Role As a experienced librarian, the Librarian (Japan and Korea) will support research, learning and teaching and manage the full collection lifecycle. This includes selection and preparation of materials and maintenance of the collections. The postholder will work on development and exploitation of electronic and print resources and will be the key liaison with faculty, students and researchers for study and research using the Japan and Korea collections.
