Job Description Mechanical Fitter We are working with a market leader in machine tool manufacturing, and they are going through a sustained period of growth. They are looking to grow their workshop team with a Mechanical Fitter. This is an excellent opportunity for ideally an apprentice trained Fitter who is passionate about supporting the aviation industry, both civil and military. If you have strong mechanical knowledge together with good machining, turning and sheet-metal fabrication skills, and you want to work on exciting products, then this is the perfect opportunity for you. Job Requirements A ssembl ing machinery using engineering drawings A ssist ing with testing of finished equipment and to complete test records O perat ing portable hand tools for drilling, grinding and sanding etc Li ft ing components and assemblies using slings and pendant crane in a safe and protective manner Su pport mechanical work within the maintenance team W ork as part of a multi-disciplinary team, assisting other sections when required S upply feedback on machine and process improvements W ork as part of a multi-disciplinary team, assisting other sections when required 20% of your time will be on servicing client machinery at the client ’ s site Person Specification Ideally hold a recognised engineering apprenticeship Able to interpret engineering drawings and specifications Excellent attention to detail Flexibility to undertake other tasks in other areas and on customers ’ sites Flexibility to work additional ho urs when Hours, Pay, and Benefits £30,625 per annum 37-hour week Overtime paid at a flat rate All hours are paid from the moment your leave your house until you return home Call out bonus and expenses are all covered You are given a generous nightly meal and drink allowance 25 days holiday
