Senior Facility Specialist\n\nLocation: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.\n\nSalary - Starting salary £47,180 (Negotiable dependent on relevant experience / qualifications)\n\nThere is a possibility this role will require shift working.\n\nWorking pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application.\n\nLet us introduce the role\n\nThe Senior Facility Specialist role covers our facility management responsibilities and requirements across our highly regulated estates.
Your primary responsible will be managing and delivering a workplace environment that is safe, secure, and compliant with all relevant regulations and legislation, thus enabling delivery of requirements to meet the needs of our programme demanders.\n\nYou will manage, support, and maintain a designated portfolio of facilities which may encompass a variety of processes and activities; one of your key focuses is to ensure maximum facility availability every day. \n\nWhilst delivering facility management activities, there will be requirements to act as the key interface between the facilities team, projects, residents, and other business functions/stakeholders. You will also manage relationships with stakeholders, our suppliers and other partners ensuring that all safety and compliance aspects are delivered in accordance with the SLA's and KPI's link to a strict standard of management reporting.\n\nWho are we looking for?\n\nWe need you to have the following:\n\nIOSH is a minimum requirement, but NEBOSH is preferred (or recognised equivalent Health and Safety qualification).\nPrior Facility, Health and Safety, relevant management experience is essential.

\nDecision making skills that have either a high degree of complexity or diversity and takes prime responsibility. \nEffective motivational skills, and a great collaborator. \nLogical and analytical thinker, enabling performance.
\nTo have excellent communication, presentational and negotiation skills. \nExperience working in/with project teams to ensure delivery of modifications to facilities/plant. \n\nYou'll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload.

\n\nDue to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE Aldermaston.\n\n#LI-DV
