Reporting into the Assistant Director of Corporate Development, the Head of People will provide strategic direction to our People Services function (inc. business partnering, employee relations resourcing and talent, health, safety and wellbeing and digital people systems, payroll).
You’ll be responsible for:
* Strategic Advice– Acting as strategic advisor to Executive and Senior Leadership Team, providing HR expertise, advice and guidance on workforce planning, resourcing and employee relations.
* HR Business Partnering – Leading on business partnering ensuring that our work aligns with organisational priorities and the LCRCA Corporate Plan.
* Resourcing & Talent – Providing strategic direction on resourcing and talent initiatives to deliver the organisation’s ambition to become an employer of choice.
* Digital People Systems & Payroll – Providing strategic direction on the provision of digitally equipped solutions and Management Information, as well as ensuring payroll is effectively managed.
* Employee Relations – Leading on the provision of high-quality advice, support and guidance in relation to complex employee relations matters, as well as ensuring that our people policies, contracts, and procedures comply with UK employment law and are reflective of best practice.
* Health, Safety & Wellbeing – Overseeing workplace safety and compliance, and the provision of effective wellbeing support.
About the person
The ideal candidate will have CIPD Level 7 or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, a focus on HR best practice and employment legislation, as well as a track record of success working at a senior level within a HR environment.
We are looking for an empathetic, approachable candidate with a style that promotes and fosters an inclusive and productive culture. Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential, as is a passion for people.
Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Corporate Development, you will be resilient in your approach and possess demonstrable leadership skills for what is a key role for the organisation.
