We are looking for a Sustainability & Environmental Impact Lead to be the point contact for all supply chain environmental projects, compliance, and impact-related matters. On top of working very closely with On's Tier 1 and Tier 2 apparel and footwear suppliers, the role will also include beyond compliance activities and projects related to environmental impact strategy, energy efficiency, renewable energy, coal phase-out, science-based targets, and stakeholder engagement. The role is based in Ho Chi Minh City.
Your Mission
1. Manage programmatic operations in a growing Supplier Environmental Program to achieve key targets and co-create sustainability roadmaps within our global supply chain suppliers through change management and a results-driven approach in alignment with On and Science-Based Targets.
2. Build and implement a governance program and manage the development of resources and materials like the Supplier Environmental Manual and Vendor Environmental Scorecard by defining sub-targets within energy, water, and chemicals programs, identifying any compliance issues, and reviewing Corrective and Preventative Action Plans (CAPAs) as needed.
3. Manage and inspire a team to support public reporting against sustainability targets (CDP reporting, including water) and track supplier progress towards our targets through improvement in data processes and operational management.
4. Build trusted relationships with global suppliers and identify overlaps with cross-functional teams, Supply Chain, and Product teams to support an integrated strategy and implementation framework for the Vendor Environmental Program.
5. Support sustainability claims certification strategy and ensure new suppliers are aligned with our sustainability strategy and onboarded on program requirements.
6. Drive collective industry action through steering capability building and training, identifying roadblocks, and finding innovative solutions to drive Global Vendor Environmental Council and with external partners towards shared sustainability challenges.
Your Story
1. 8+ years of experience in the field of Environmental, preferably within the footwear or apparel industry.
2. Good project management skills with attention to detail and the ability to understand how to navigate a cross-functional environment.
3. Ability to think strategically, as well as execute operationally on the ground.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Strong data analysis abilities and problem-solving skills.
6. Fluent in Vietnamese and English.
