Taylor Woodrow is a leading civil engineering contractor delivering innovative infrastructure projects across the UK. We are currently working on the Fairglen Interchange Project in Essex, a critical highway improvement scheme designed to enhance traffic flow and connectivity in the region.
As part of this £40M project, we are actively seeking a Section Manager to join the team working out of the site near Rayleigh.
Duties
1. Manage and oversee the delivery of a designated section of the project.
2. Ensure works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
3. Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to maintain smooth project progression.
4. Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental compliance.
5. Contribute to project planning, risk management, and progress reporting.
6. Lead and mentor site teams, ensuring effective resource allocation and performance management.
7. Identify and resolve technical challenges, liaising with engineers and design teams as necessary.
Person Specification
1. Previous experience working as a Section Manager, Senior Engineer or Sub Agent on a highways project.
2. Knowledge of earthworks or structures is advantageous.
3. Formal qualification in a civil engineering or construction related subject.
4. Previous experience in a site-based construction role.
5. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
