BEAR Scotland is a leading road maintenance and management service provider in Scotland, maintaining and improving Scottish Motorways and Trunk Roads including bridges and structures through some of the most scenic, but challenging, parts of the country. We are looking to fill a new role, Electricians Mate to join our team based in South Queensferry. As an Electrician's Mate, you will play a crucial supporting role in assisting qualified electricians with electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work at the SE Major Bridges. Your responsibilities will involve a range of hands-on tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and infrastructure on this landmark project. Key Responsibilities: Assist electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on the SE Major Bridges. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards. ·Support in troubleshooting electrical faults and carrying out necessary repairs under supervision. Handle tools, equipment, and materials in a safe and efficient manner. Assist with the preparation of work areas and ensure that the site is kept tidy and organized. Follow instructions from senior electrical staff and provide assistance with any related tasks as required. Participate in team meetings and contribute to ensuring high-quality service delivery. Key Requirements: Previous experience as an Electrician's Mate or in a similar trade-related role is desirable but not necessary. Basic understanding of electrical systems and components. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality. Good communication skills and a proactive attitude. A valid CSCS card is preferred (or the ability to obtain one before starting). Ability to work at heights and in potentially challenging weather conditions (training will be provided). A flexible approach to working hours and duties as required. Why BEAR?
