Job Description Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: Southwest UK Full/Part Time: Full Time Salary Circa: £90,000 JOB PURPOSE Managing existing broker relationships with a focus on new business development and renewal retention and being a contact point for ensuring service delivery. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Defined Geographic area (Southwest, Wales and South) with a flexibility to control ‘out of area’ connections. Identifying new broker opportunities with a focus on mid-market commercial and HNW. Encourage and manage broker involvement at in-house workshops. Complete Weekly Reports to a pre-defined format. Attending regular sales meetings – usually at Head office London. Arrange joint broker meetings with colleagues as required. Working alongside the Regional Director to manage strategies. Working in a team of 6 Business Development Managers covering all parts of the UK. Supports and works alongside the organisations trading underwriting teams who are based in London. No direct reports or line management responsibility. PERSON SPECIFICATION Must live in the Southwest (Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire) Deep experience of strategic broker management with existing broker relationships. Must be familiar with Commercial SME/Mid-market insurance The role requires you to work from home with internet access, have a full driving license Laptop and IT equipment will be provided.
