My client is looking for full-time and permanent Children and Young People support workers to join them in their high spec provision in the area.
Supporting children with emotional behavioural difficulties or Learning Disabilities.
Must have a full UK License
1 year experience supporting Children and Young People.
This position is full-time, with various shifts:
1. Full Day shifts: 8am to 8pm
2. Late Shifts: 4pm to 11pm
3. Night Shifts: 8pm onwards
4. Sleepovers may be required.
Rates are dependent on the shift and if you have a level 3 or not, the lowest is £13.30 p/h unqualified up to £15.30 with level 3.

Duties and Further Information:
1. To assist the Home Manager & Service Manager in ensuring that the home operates in such a way which maximises the potential for resolving young people’s problems and encourages their healthy development.
2. To provide an environment which is conducive to young people with challenging behaviour and learning disabilities, and manage the home effectively to ensure that the children are looked after professionally and appropriately in a warm, caring and therapeutic environment.
3. Demonstrate leadership and efficient organisation.
4. Ensure and promote correct & effective administrative and record keeping systems.
5. To ensure that a coherent approach is adopted towards childcare planning for children within the home.
6. Ensure that conditions are both safe and healthy and that the environment is pleasant, comfortable and homely.
7. Liaise with external bodies and relevant individuals.
8. To actively liaise with educational provisions, local schools, and colleges of further education to ensure that the appropriate education and training is afforded to both young people and staff.
9. To ensure that the home is kept clean and tidy.
Requirements: Drive, experience working with challenging young people (12 months +), willingness to travel to other homes in the area if required due to staff shortages, preferably have NVQ level 3 Children and Young People, or be willing to work towards this.
Great Salary: £30,546 per year.
