In this crucial role, you’ll help ensure that all operations run smoothly, adhering to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. You’ll work in full compliance with Health and Safety policies, the Distribution Safety Rules, and local DNO/IDNO practices, ensuring that every task is carried out. Plus, you'll be upholding Freedom Group’s renowned Safe Working Practices, contributing to a culture of safety and excellence at every stage. Some of the key deliverables in this role will include: To assist/support with the installation of power cable joints and terminations on underground LV to 33kV cables or substation cable systems, switchgear, transformers associated equipment in substations operating at up to 33k. Manage and control site safety and operations. Recognise best practices and promote innovation ideas. Complete all tasks and task types allocated, increasing skill range and knowledge in the process. In addition to supporting cable jointing this can include excavation works and cable pulling. To work within all set procedures and to ensure Health and Safety is the most important element in this regard. Keep safe and maintain all company property issued, ensure it is routinely PAT or calibration tested and bring to the company’s attention any items that are not of a serviceable nature in a timely manner. Assist technical staff such as SAPs/APs in undertaking cable identification.
