Job Title: Student Services Administrator
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:00), term time only plus 10 days (to be agreed in advance with line manager)
Salary: £24,727
Location: Manchester - with good access to public transport links and free parking.

Main Purpose of the Job
As a Student Services Administrator, you will play a crucial role in delivering a customer-focused frontline support service to our students. You will support the attendance policy, manage reception services, and assist with various administrative tasks to ensure the department runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Support: Provide effective support to students, including managing the Student Services Office and handling late registrations.
2. Attendance Management: Collaborate with the Attendance Team to monitor and address attendance concerns.
3. Reception Duties: Offer a welcoming reception service for staff, students, and visitors.
4. Communication: Engage with parents and carers through various communication methods, including phone, email, text, and app.
5. Administrative Tasks: Assist with general administrative duties, including filing student records, managing lost property, and maintaining communication folders.
6. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including managing fire drill systems and first aid duties (training provided).
7. Student Information Management: Maintain accurate student records in the Information Management System.
8. Support Services: Provide cover and support to the Main Office and Reception as needed, including during holidays.

About You
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting students and contributing to the smooth running of the department. The ideal candidate will have the ability to speak to people of all levels, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
If you have worked within an administrative role previously, ideally in an educational setting, and are happy to speak to people face to face and over the telephone daily, then this could be the role for you. However, it is not essential to have come from an educational setting.
This role requires a DBS at an enhanced level prior to starting in the role.
