Building Surveyor (Project Focused)

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building Surveyor to join a leading national practice, based in the heart of Manchester. You will play a key role in the successful delivery of high-quality projects, working with a diverse client base in both the private and public sectors. This role is designed for someone with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in building surveying, offering a clear pathway to more senior positions within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a range of projects from inception through to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and adherence to budget.
* Take ownership of client briefs, building strong relationships and offering proactive solutions.
* Deliver expert contract administration across both private and public sector projects.
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of projects, managing a varied and busy workload.
* Collaborate with senior management, taking on increasing responsibility for team management and operational oversight.
* Mentor and guide junior surveyors, contributing to the development of a high-performing team.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Building Surveyor (ideally in project delivery and contract administration).
* Proven ability to manage client briefs, deliver projects, and work independently with strong organisational skills.
* Solid experience in contract administration and a strong understanding of construction processes.
* Experience working with private and public sector clients, with a focus on high-quality project delivery.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to manage and build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
* An ambition to develop professionally and take on team leadership and operational management responsibilities.
