If so, we'd love to hear from you About the Team HM Treasury's Communications team is responsible for all communications conducted by HM Treasury and its Ministers. We are a fast-paced, encouraging and lively team, working collaboratively across the different aspects of communications (press, digital, events). The roles are high-profile and you'll be given a large degree of ownership for your areas. The team is a flexible resource and you'll need to be ready to support colleagues during busy periods as responsibilities can move around to reflect Government priorities. About the Role Our Events and Visits branch work flexibly and collaboratively to deliver a comprehensive Ministerial visit programme across the UK and internationally. We are looking for a Senior Events and Visits Manager to join us and play a direct role in delivering high profile, media-led events for Ministers. Key accountabilities Plan, co-ordinate and lead on high quality media events and visits for Ministers, including the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in order to deliver policy and communication objectives. Lead on visits/events on a rotating basis and provide support to other team members when needed. Work in a team and individually to identify, recce and advance venues ahead of Ministerial visits, both in the UK and internationally, planning and delivering visually engaging press events. Travel with the Chancellor of the Exchequer/Ministers to ensure that they are well supported and briefed, that logistics and media operations are successfully implemented and risks mitigated. Work closely with Ministers, Special Advisors, Private Office and policy colleagues from within the Treasury and across government. Manage key collaborators from a variety of sectors across industry to help support future visit opportunities. Support the Head of Events in developing a strategic programme of events that is well coordinated with Treasury and Ministerial policy priorities. Line Management responsibility may be required, depending on needs of the team About you Our ideal candidates will be skilled at establishing strong working relationships across a diverse group of colleagues. You’ll have strong time management and organisational skills, be able to work independently and to a high quality, while keeping key collaborators updated. You will also be adaptable and flexible when faced with challenges, able to identify and mitigate risks.
