Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Torquay Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Location: Torquay Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £14.45 - £15.20 Per hour About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a primary school in Torquay. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development within a friendly and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with varying needs, both in one-on-one and group settings. Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. Help to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged. Support the emotional, social, and academic development of pupils, fostering a nurturing learning atmosphere. Monitor and report on pupil progress, communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge. Requirements: Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar educational role is highly desirable. Experience working with children is essential, in an educational setting is desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
