Our client, a Local Authority based in South-West England, is currently recruiting for a locum Employment Lawyer to join their team for an initial 3-month contract, with potential extension.
The team have capacity for a 37-hour week, and the hourly rate is negotiable subject to PQE. The role falls inside of IR35, and is offering fully remote working.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Handling a mixed caseload of employment law matters, and providing the relevant legal advice to Council Officers
* Managing a caseload to include compromise agreements, unfair or constructive dismissal, whistle blowing, discrimination, TUPE regulations, contracts of employment, reorganisation/redundancy and conduct and capability cases
* Representing the Council in regards to internal appeals, Employment Law Tribunals, and appeals against Tribunal decisions
Experience required:
* Qualified status as a Solicitor or Barrister, with current practicing certificate
