Job Summary
Contribute and participate in the delivery of service screening programme for the school health service in line with the Healthy Child Programme and local service specifications.
Contribute to the delivery of Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018), including improving health and life chances for children and families and safeguarding those at risk.
To deliver the role in accordance with CLCH Trust values and behaviours. To provide administrative and clinical support to the school health team.
To undertake activities as delegated by the Team Lead/School Nurse, in support of the delivery of the school health service.
To support the delivery of a 'child focused service' which promotes good partnership working with parents, primary schools and other agencies.
Main duties of the job
To support the delivery of the National Child Measurement programme (NCMP) in schools, which involves weighing and measuring the height and weight of Reception and Year 6 children at state funded schools including academies.
Contact schools prior to sessions to arrange dates and send out the necessary information to schools.
