About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounting Technician to join our busy centralised finance team in Taunton. This is a demanding role within a multi-disciplined team.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be personable, and eager to learn. Previous experience in a busy, multi-disciplinary client-facing finance department is essential. Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required, although full training will be provided. Experience with Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables is necessary.
Skills & Abilities
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Organised and methodical
* High level of efficiency and accuracy in tasks
* Ability to meet strict deadlines
* Self-motivated and able to work independently
* At least 3 years of experience in a busy, multi-disciplinary accounts office
* AAT Certificate in Accounting is desirable
* Intermediate Excel skills (including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables)
