Year 3 Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary - Bristol (BS4)
We are looking for a dedicated Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Totterdown, Bristol. The school focuses on incorporating restorative practices that help children manage and regulate their emotions, achieve their personal and academic goals, and develop a strong foundation for the future.
This is a full-time role working five days a week on a long-term contract in Bristol. The position is open to both experienced KS1 / KS2 Teaching Assistants and recent graduates who have relevant experience working with children. This role is a great opportunity for anyone looking to build a career in education and training while gaining hands-on experience in a primary school setting.
Salary: £425 - £450 per week, dependent on experience
Location: Bristol (BS4 - Totterdown)
Start date: 27th February
Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the planning, delivery, and assessment of learning activities for a Year 3 class.
2. Helping create a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment.
3. Assisting with classroom activities and ensuring students remain engaged.
4. Providing feedback to teachers and parents.
5. Managing student behaviour and setting a positive example in the classroom.
The school provides excellent education and training to ensure staff are well-equipped to support students effectively.
Minimum Requirements:
1. GCSEs in Maths and English at grade A*-C / 9-4 (or equivalent).
2. Previous experience working with children in roles such as tutoring, coaching, mentoring, childcare, nursery assistance, or classroom support.
3. Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children.
