Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as an experienced People Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, onboarding, and exit processes of employees, policy management, payroll responsibilities and learning and development facilitation. You will work closely with the management team to enact and improve upon our current HR strategies aligned with our business objectives, utilising tools such as Employment Hero and Asana. This is a hybrid position, with a minimum of 2 days working out of our Threadneedle Street (Central London) office per week. Primary Responsibilities: Strategic Workforce Planning & Recruitment Collaborate with the leadership team to forecast workforce needs in alignment with business expansion. Develop and implement long-term talent acquisition strategies to attract, retain, and develop top-tier talent. Lead workforce planning efforts, including organizational design and succession planning. Manage the candidate evaluation and selection process, including reference checks and background verifications. Extend job offers and negotiate terms of employment. Onboarding & Offboarding Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding process for employees, supporting managers to ensure a smooth transition. Coordinate all paperwork, including employment contracts, benefits enrollment, and payroll information during both onboarding and offboarding. Conduct new hire orientations and exit interviews. Employee Relations Address employee concerns and grievances, providing guidance and support. Promote a positive work environment and foster employee engagement and satisfaction. Assist in performance management activities, including goal setting, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions. Gather company-wide or team-specific feedback through Employment Hero. Policy Development and Compliance Establish and refine HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with current regulations and industry best practices. Proactively address compliance and mitigate risks related to employment law and workplace standards. Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations. Stay updated on employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in HR practices. Payroll Assist in the management of our payroll systems, documenting information throughout each month to track changes. Ensure thorough review of payroll at month end, collaborating with the finance team. Manage employee payroll related questions, including liaising with our pension provider to facilitate requested changes. Prior experience in HR, including work on a variety of projects pertaining to business growth and transformation. Experience within a fast-growing business, facilitating growth with structure and compliance. Proficiency with HRIS (Employment Hero preferable). Familiarity with employment laws and regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organisational and time management abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
