Job Title: Cost Controller/Engineer

Salary/Pay rate/Benefits: £45,000-£50,000 per annum

Applicants must have experience of the following:
1. A minimum of 5-7 years experience working in a similar role as a Cost Engineer.
2. Nuclear industry experience or experience in a relevant field.
3. ONC/HNC/HND in a related engineering or accounting discipline or a degree qualification.
4. Appropriate experience in an engineering and/or construction company environment dealing with financial, cost, and contract control of engineering design, procurement of materials, equipment and services, manufacture, delivery, site implementation, and construction.
5. Maintenance of complete and accurate reporting, on a routine basis, of cost control data on a specific project.
6. Liaising with all project control staff to ensure effective and efficient running of the Project Control Group.

Providing the project with complete and accurate cost control services, in association with the Project Manager/Project Control Manager, to prepare a cost control strategy.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Proactively forecast, trend, and analyse software, hardware, and construction costs using EVA techniques and all other available data.
2. Identify cost variances as early as possible and report issues to the Project Manager/Project Control Manager, developing mitigation strategies.
3. Recognise the impact risks & opportunities will have on the Estimate At Completion.
4. Maintain communications and dialogue with other Project Control personnel (planners, document controllers, estimators) to help ensure excellence in the delivery of the Project Control function.
5. Issue project cost reports in accordance with the requirements of the Principal Cost Controller / Project Manager / Project Control Manager, Project Execution Plan, and the Business Operating Procedures (Including Project Financial Statement, Procurement Cost Report, and cost flows).
6. As required by the Project Manager/Project Control Manager, attend internal and external project progress reviews.
