The post holder would work within the orthopaedic department under the supervision of one of the existing 17 Consultants. The post holder would gain clinical and operative experience in in both elective orthopaedics and trauma surgery. They would be expected to join the on-call rota 1 in 11 with the existing registrar body. They would participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics (fracture and elective) and operating lists in conjunction with a supervising consultant, and independently where appropriate. Interviews will take place W/C 18th November. It is anticipated that the successful applicant will have experience in aspects of elective orthopaedic surgery as well as trauma surgery. They will participate in operating lists, elective clinics and ward duties to help provide a service in the management of elective orthopaedic patients.
