Post No. POSN004054 - Connecting Care Support Officer Fixed Term – 1 year Due to the implementation of the Welsh Community Care Information System (WCCIS) an opportunity has arisen for the post of a Connecting Care Support Officer. We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join the Social Services Performance Information team to assist with the project administration, development and implementation of the Connecting Care Programme. The Connecting Care programme has been developed to replace the existing national system WCCIS (CareDirector) that will be decommissioned in Jan 2026. Newport City Council, as part of the Gwent region, will be implementing a single regional replacement system that will be implemented across 5 South East Wales Local Authorities; Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen. The post holder will be based in Newport but expected to work flexibly across the Gwent, developing positive relationships in all five local authorities, with the Local Health Board and with other regional partners/stakeholders. Experience in administration, Microsoft Office and familiarity with WCCIS would be an advantage. The ability to work under pressure is essential, as is the ability to meet key deadlines throughout the year.
