Following the retirement of our highly regarded Headteacher, we are looking for a new school leader. Northburn Primary School was judged to be Good by Ofsted at its last inspection in October 2022. We are looking for a leader to drive and develop our unique potential, whilst ensuring the success and stability of the school is maintained.
Northburn Primary is very much part of the local community in Cramlington, Northumberland. Our main priorities are our children, and we work with our families and the wider community to support the success of every child throughout their educational journey. We are a school that encourages and celebrates a love of learning; where each pupil is known and cared about as an individual.
We are looking for a new Headteacher who will demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting the ethos of our school, who will be approachable and visible to children, staff, parents and carers. You will be warm and creative, and passionate about ensuring that every child gets an excellent education. You will have the energy and inspiration to move the school forwards, and the sensitivity to preserve its special character.
Since 2023 Northburn Primary School has had the added benefit of an SEN base, providing focussed support for children with special educational needs. Our school is passionate about ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
The post will require the successful applicant to demonstrate high levels of emotional resilience and a calm, positive approach when dealing with behaviour.
We are proud to offer:
1. An ethos of collaboratively working together, to achieve the best possible outcome
2. An effective and attractive environment which creates a sense of ‘family’
3. A broad, balanced and rich curriculum
4. Creativity in planning and assessment
5. A developing learning culture where learning is enjoyed by all
6. Enthusiastic and motivated children and staff
7. A creative and innovative culture where we are not afraid to try new things
8. A culture of celebrating diversity and personal achievements
9. A committed and supportive Governing body.
