Role Purpose:
The Head of IT Procurement is responsible for significantly contributing to, LRQA’s Digital and procurement strategy. Reporting to the global Head of IT Operations with a dotted reporting line to the Global Head of Procurement.
Working closely with budget-owners, IT operations lead, and technology platform Leads and other stakeholders across the LRQA IT organisation, the Head of IT Procurement will be responsible for developing and implementing individual IT, Digital, Telecommunication and related Technology categories procurement strategies, aligned with LRQA’s digital transformation plans.
Focusing on achieving value for money (VFM), reduction of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and, margin improvement initiatives in the immediate term.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the procurement oversight of all digital and technology spend categories within the LRQA group, including but not limited to Hardware, Software, Telecoms, Security Connectivity, Infrastructure, Applications, WAN, LAN, Mobile connections, EUDs.
* Develop, own, and execute LRQA IT strategic Procurement plans and lead all commercial discussions, including but not limited to negotiations, with 3rd party technology suppliers, within remit, and in policy, maximising the leverage of scale.
* Own the overall supplier relationships with LRQA technology partners and maintain a close alignment with the internal IT colleagues, who has day to day interactions with the suppliers.
* Build a trusted partnerships with technology suppliers within remit, monitor and review their performance, and impact on customers’ and colleagues’ satisfaction.
* Ensure value is being obtained from these partnerships and measured, via the use of appropriate metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Responsible for establishing and maintaining procurement best practices, and governance, while supporting related process improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
* Previous experience in the field (7+ years) with demonstrable management experience
* Experience of negotiating key contracts with Cloud Service, Outsource, IT Reseller, IT Platform and Telecommunication companies
* Assertive with strong communication skills
* Excellent leadership and management skills and the ability to direct others according to company standards.
* Exemplary multitasking and organizational skills
* Talent in negotiations and networking
* Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software
