A number of outstanding opportunities have arisen for 2 contract positions between our Rotatives Derby Compressor Discs and Drums Facility (DCDD) and Shafts business. We are looking for a number of Maskers to join on a 12-month contract. Please note this role is going to be on a rotating shift pattern (mornings, afternoons and nights). You will operate in a busy, world-class engineering and manufacturing environment and be responsible for delivering against weekly targets to meet customer requirements. As a Masker you will be doing: As a Masker, reporting to the Production Leader, you will work within a team environment to prepare various shafts for both abrasive blasting and painting. The masker role involves detailed preparation of critical parts by masking non-painted areas as identified through technical instructions, MDT, and finished drawings. Working within a small team across three shifts, you will be required to carry out masking of shafts for both abrasive blasting and painting, closely collaborating with the Sprayers on shift. As part of the wider services team, you will play a key role in the final processes before shafts are delivered to customers around the world. Who we are looking for: Rolls-Royce is seeking a dedicated individual who can follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures and regulations, maintaining a safe, clean, and tidy work area. The ideal candidate will be proficient in interpreting manufacturing drawings, technical instructions, and written specifications. They must deliver right-first-time quality for each operation and work effectively within an integrated team to achieve cell objectives. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for quality-checking their own work and accurately completing all relevant documentation.
