Role & Responsibilities:
1. Design and development of electronic hardware solutions that meet project specifications and adhere to all relevant regulatory standards.
2. Lead the hardware development process including schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, and prototyping.
3. Collaborate closely with software, mechanical, and production engineers to ensure optimal integration of hardware with other system components.
4. Manage product verification and validation including creating and implementing test plans.
5. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and team members.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Must haves
6. Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
7. Proven experience (7+ years) in electronic hardware design and development.
8. Proven experience in electronic hardware design and development, particularly in a senior role.
9. Strong knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design, and experience with microcontroller-based products.
10. Proficient in design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence, or equivalent for PCB design and schematic capture.
11. Familiarity with wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) and IoT technologies.
Desired Skills
12. Experience in the medical devices sector or other regulated industries like defence or aerospace, which will be highly advantageous.
13. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members.
