This role is to oversee and supervise all mechanical & electrical delivery packages on our construction site. Safety is our priority; this role is accountable to the mechanical & electrical construction manager.
2 construction supervisors for MEP and 2 construction supervisors for civils form a 4-person team onsite.
Our site operates a two-shift rota currently. These hours are not fixed and may change to suit construction activities:
1. 0600-1400 Morning shift
2. 1000-1800 Afternoon Shift
Some overtime will be offered at an additional rate to include weekends.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Supervision of the day-to-day contractor activities
* Hosting the 0715 DABs (daily attendance brief)
* Hosting the 1500 clean up meeting
* Ensuring permits to work are issued and managed
* Providing guidance on site-specific health and safety issues and compliance
* Briefing site inductions, toolbox talks, and any site communications
* Reviewing RAMs
* Providing overarching supervision and point of contact (POC) of site activities, which may include civils activities
* Updating the mechanical & electrical construction manager on daily progress and ensuring daily diaries are completed for accurate records
* Incident reporting and investigating alongside the H+S team if required
* Ensuring/supervising isolations and LOTO
* Tours of our construction site for inspections/client visits
* Project inductions
* Working with the mechanical & electrical construction manager/package managers regarding design input and constructability; this may include site surveys and design meetings with technical departments
* Providing motivation and assistance when necessary to ensure the programmes are being met
* Inspecting and assessing the completed work to ensure compliance and quality installation with a right-first-time approach
* Reading and interpreting design schematics to ensure the proper installation of electrical/mechanical systems by the contractor
* Ensuring the work is completed on schedule and to code
You’ll need to have:
* 3 years or more in a supervisor role
* Apprenticeship in electrical/mechanical competencies
