Job Title: Registered Nurse
Location: Lytham St Annes
Hours: 24 hours per week
Shifts: 8am to 8pm
Salary: £20 per hour (Enhanced Overtime Rate: £28 per hour)

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement nursing care plans, ensuring the highest level of personal care and attention is provided to residents in line with their individual needs.
2. Comply with all relevant statutory and legal requirements, such as Health & Safety, COSHH, and the Care Standard Act, ensuring safe reporting of accidents and incidents.
3. Ensure safeguarding of residents from abuse, in accordance with safeguarding protocols.
4. Deliver and supervise nursing care while being a resource for the care team, identifying training needs and supporting colleagues.
5. Maintain NMC professional registration and adhere to NMC Codes of Practice, including medication administration, record-keeping, and professional conduct.
6. Accurately administer medication to residents, maintaining appropriate records.
7. Oversee stock control of prescribed medication and medical products, reporting any requirements to the Line Manager.
8. Respect and maintain confidentiality regarding residents’ personal information and any incidents occurring during care.
9. Actively contribute to staff meetings and care plan reviews, promoting good communication and supporting the induction of new team members.
10. Be assigned as a named nurse for a designated group of residents, ensuring care is consistent and personalised.
11. Participate in staff training, supervision, and appraisals as agreed with your line manager.
12. Maintain mandatory training and comply with ongoing professional development.
13. Ensure confidentiality of all information relating to residents and staff.
14. Undertake any other operational duties as required by the Line Manager, with tasks prioritised according to the needs of the home.
Person Specification:
1. Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
2. Experience in elderly care (preferred)
3. Knowledge and practice of care planning
4. Professional, compassionate, and patient with a warm personality
5. Strong interpersonal skills and a caring disposition
6. Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team
7. Willing to train and support colleagues in their development
Additional Requirements:
1. Ability to reliably commute to Lytham St. Annes or relocate before starting work (required)
2. Minimum of 1 year nursing experience preferred
3. NMC Pin: Required
