Be the driving force behind something extraordinary.
Are you a passionate, forward-thinking leader with a vision for excellence in children’s care? This is a rare and exciting opportunity to shape and lead a high-quality residential service from the ground up in Wyke, Bradford.
We’re looking for a Registered Manager who’s ready to make a real impact — not just manage a home, but build a culture, create a legacy, and lead a team that transforms young lives.
About the Project:
This is more than just a job — it’s a chance to lead a recently acquired residential children’s home, with the full support of an ambitious and values-driven organisation behind you. We’re creating a safe, nurturing, and aspirational environment for children and young people who need stability, compassion, and a place to call home.
From shaping the care model to recruiting your team, you’ll be central to every stage of this exciting journey.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Establish and lead a brand-new home in line with Ofsted requirements and best practice standards.
2. Recruit, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team focused on exceptional care and outcomes.
3. Work collaboratively with local authorities, families, and external professionals to support each child’s unique journey.
4. Drive a culture of safeguarding, accountability, and continuous improvement.
5. Be instrumental in preparing for and achieving positive Ofsted inspections and long-term sustainability.
About You:
1. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent
2. Proven experience in managing or deputising in a children’s residential setting
3. A deep understanding of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards
4. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills
5. A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people
6. Ambitious, emotionally intelligent, and ready for a challenge
Why Join Us?
1. Be Part of Something New: Shape a home from its foundation and lead your own team
2. Autonomy & Support: Full backing from an experienced senior leadership team who trust you to lead
3. Ongoing Development: Access to training, development, and progression opportunities
4. Competitive Package: Including performance bonuses and additional perks
5. Purpose-Driven Culture: We care about doing the right thing — for children, for staff, and for our community
This is your chance to lead with heart, vision, and purpose.
If you’re ready to take on this exciting challenge and leave a lasting legacy, we’d love to hear from you.
