The Specialist Palliative Care Directorate in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board are seeking an experienced, compassionate Specialty Doctor to work in St Davids Hospice Inpatient Unit or The Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport. Full Time and part time hours are available. The Palliative Care Directorate are based within the Primary Care and Community Division of ABUHB, providing care for patients across Gwent. We are looking for a specialty doctor in Palliative Medicine who, under the supervision of the Palliative Medicine Consultants, will provide effective and appropriate medical care for palliative care patients within Aneurin Bevan Hospitals and the inpatient unit. We are aiming to provide cover for the service between the hours of 8:00 and 18:30, with the hours of on-site work being between 9am and 5pm and potential for off-site on-call cover between the hours of 8-9am and 5-6.30pm. Proposed job plan is attached within the JD although we are flexible. Main duties of the job As a senior employee of the Health Board the post holder will work in close co-operation with, and support other clinical, medical professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality healthcare to the Health Board’s patients.
