Senior Chef - Fordingbridge - Education Operation - Work/Life Balance - £28,000 (only 48 weeks a year) Job Details: 40hrs a week 48 weeks a year 5 out of 7 but only 1 weekend in 3, Team of 5, cooking for 240, s Shifts 7am-3pm or 9am-5pm and some 11.15am 7.15pm as they have 40 boarders. 28 days holidays (8 bank holidays off) rest of the holiday would have to be taken in the nursery holiday times. The role: The catering site is looking to recruit a Senior Chef to work across the kitchen supporting the Head Chef and Chefs on a daily basis. The Senior Chef will work under the direction of the Head Chef. This is a hands on cooking role but there will also be the paperwork side that you will be responsible for. Standards are high, and meals are prepared daily from fresh ingredients. The ability to work quickly according to the requirements of the Kitchen team is essential for this role. The Chef will be expected to have flexible availability. Responsibilities: Learn all aspects of food preparation and cooking under the guidance of catering management team Ideally a quick learner who must be able to work under pressure in order to succeed in his or her role Must maintain high standards of personal and food hygiene Ideally NVQ Level 1 and 2 qualified however not essential as long as you have previous kitchen experience The Reward: Great Pay of £28,000 on a 48 week a year contact Straight shifts Benefits Opportunity for progression within the company.
