Senior SHE Manager
We're looking for a Senior SHE Manager to join our Natural Resources Team working on projects in the Thames Valley, Anglian Water and Severn Trent region. In this role you'll manage Kier's SHE function in support of the our Water framework on projects in wastewater treatment upgrades and resilience works. At Kier, we believe that nothing is so urgent or important that we can't take the time to do it safely.
Location: Flexible central location with access and regular travel across Thames Water, Anglian Water, and Severn Trent regions (London, Midlands, East Anglia).
Contract: Permanent, full time
What will you be responsible for?
We're looking for a Senior SHE Manager to looking after the some of our Water Frameworks. This is a high-impact role where you'll lead regional SHE teams and drive performance across major infrastructure works, complex repair and maintenance contracts, and vital clean water and water recycling frameworks. You'll be the go-to expert and a visible leader; someone who instils a culture where safety is second nature and continuous improvement is embedded in everything we do.
Your day to day will include:
* Promoting Safety, Health and Welfare, leading and setting a good example to other employees and stakeholders
* Lead the SHE teams (SHE Manager and Advisors)
* Work closely with the operational teams in carrying out their roles and SHE responsibilities
* Provide timely and effective operational SHE support and advice to the contracts
* Drive continual SHE improvements and ensure reporting requirements are provided accurately and on time
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior SHE Manager is great for you if you hold:
* Qualifications: Safety, Health & Environmental Degree/ NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent NVQ; Environmental qualification (IEMA or equivalent); Quality qualification (CQI or eqivalent)
* Experience: Managing a team off H&S professionals; experience in construction/ infrastructure health and safety with a working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 Standards
* Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH)
* Behavioural or culture based training
* Full driving licence
