Tucsen Photonics is looking for a Mandarin speaking software support expert who can help customers use, test and integrate their products.
Tucsen Photonics manufactures high-end scientific grade cameras in both China and Singapore and requires a Mandarin speaker to communicate directly with all levels of our engineering team.

The primary role of the Software Support Engineer is to provide pre-and post-sales product and integration support relating to Tucsen Photonics camera products.
The position will work alongside an existing Tucsen Photonics global sales and support team to provide front line product support and assist integrators with software support. The position will require you to learn camera technology and the software used to control the cameras including programming basic example applications.
The position is based in the UK office in central Birmingham. You are expected to be at the office unless working on a project or with customers which requires you to be off site. Occasionally you may be expected to work outside classical UK business hours to reach customers located in central Europe and West Coast United States.
Duties
1. Track and manage all technical support requests
2. Arrange support sessions with counterparts in the China offices
3. Create use-case example code and applications
4. Create customer support material
5. Other duties assigned by management
Job Requirements
1. Fluent in Mandarin
2. Competent in C++ / Python
3. Experience in programming/controlling hardware
4. Experience with Linux
5. Experience with LabView a strong positive
6. Proficiency to follow up and meet deadlines
7. Ability to act with discretionary decision making
8. Self-motivated
9. Flexibility to work outside traditional working hours
Working Conditions
* Office based Central Birmingham
* Flexible working schedule (start between 7am and 10am)
* Some travel as required (<10%)
* 25 days annual holiday
* Salary increases expected of 10-15% in Y2 depending on performance
