About the job
We currently have great opportunities across our manufacturing sites for experienced upholsterers, to work as part of our skilled and dependable upholstery team, contributing to the production of crafted upholstered furniture to the correct specification and quality standards.
The position plays a key role and is perfect for anyone who wants a varied and rewarding opportunity, in a physically active role in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
1. Working as part of a team, using a variety of skills and methods in the manufacturing of quality domestic upholstered furniture from pre-upholstery to the finished product.
Requirements: Your Skills
1. First class modern upholstery techniques including:
2. Ability to work with numerous fabrics
3. Using varied cutting techniques
4. Using various compressed air tools
5. Good maintenance of tools
6. Skilled stapling techniques
7. Quality webbing application techniques
8. Quality spring application
9. Delivering best in class finishing quality using various techniques including seam turning, clearing ends & tack drag
10. Keen eye for detail with knowledge of defects & detection
11. Good communication skills and the ability to work both as part of a team and on own initiative
12. Ensuring high quality standards in all that you do
13. Taking pride in what you do with a ‘right first time’ mentality
14. Ensuring good housekeeping and cleanliness of working area
15. Maintaining and promoting safe working standards with an absolute commitment to your own and others' safety
16. Someone with a flexible approach in order to meet production performance requirements
