We are recruiting a Warehouse Operative to join the Logistics Warehouse team on a permanent basis, supporting Incommunities in delivering an outstanding repairs and maintenance service to our customers.

Duties
1. Primarily work within the warehouse, with occasional requirements to deliver goods using a transit van.
2. Ensure correct and accurate stock picking and, and consistent and timely recording of stock movements.
3. Follow established warehouse processes and maintain clear communication with relevant teams and stakeholders.
4. Assist the stock controller with goods-in operations, ensuring accurate receipting and efficient storage of deliveries.
5. Assist in regular and ongoing inventory cyclical counts and yearly stock counts to ensure the maintenance of accurate stock records.
6. Use of a forklift truck may be required once internal training/licensing has been provided.
7. Utilise the mechanical handling equipment (including FLT) in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring regular safety checks are performed and faults reported immediately.
8. Follow and uphold health and safety policies and standards relevant to the environment including correct use of PPE.
9. Maintain a clean, safe and efficient work environment, ensuring that all hazards, or potential hazards are identified and remedied immediately.
10. Contribute to an environment of strong customer focus with a consistent approach towards the delivery of excellent service and value for money.
11. Display good customer service throughout your role and when dealing with our trade operatives.
12. Work within the values and behaviours promoted by Incommunities.
13. May be required to cover for the Stock Controller or other positions as and when needed.
14. Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post, as deemed necessary by management.
Minimum Requirements
1. A valid full driving license and confidence in driving a commercial transit van.
2. Previous experience working in a warehouse.
3. Experience of forklift truck operation and a valid license (desirable).
4. Knowledge of automated material management systems (desirable).
5. Basic literacy and numerical skills.
6. Competence in using IT equipment such as picking scanners, mobile devices, and associated software.
7. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
8. A proactive approach to completing tasks and a sense of ownership in your role.
9. A positive and professional attitude when interacting with colleagues and customers.
10. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
11. Experience in completing and checking documentation.
12. Willingness to undertake job-related training as required.
13. Commitment to wearing and maintaining PPE (provided by the company).
