The Quality Manager is accountable for implementing the Technical Safety and Quality systems for Branded and retailer own brand products at the Albert Bartlett Chilled site. As an expert in good manufacturing practice, auditing and systems management they will train teams within the site (e.g. production and QA) in Albert Bartlett Quality and safety systems, GMP, HACCP and relevant audit procedures. Reporting to the Senior Quality Manager, they will be accountable for leading and developing the QA Team. They will lead the on-site quality function, ensuring that we are maintaining customer specification standards and implementing corrective actions alongside production. They will provide appropriate management information and reports to enable improvement in the Albert Bartlett quality systems.
They will manage the testing programme to ensure adherence to the QMS, TACCP and HACCP programmes and provide cover as appropriate in the absence of the Senior Quality Manager. In addition, they will carry out any other duties as directed by Senior Management.

About the role
Quality Team Management
1. Provide guidance and support to the Quality Auditor team, be their first point of contact if a quality issue arises
2. Manage QA holiday and staff rota
3. Manage QA team performance via performance review, disciplinaries etc.
4. Develop QA team through coaching and training
5. Carry out shift handover meetings to ensure good communication between shifts
Product Quality Management
1. Review quality standards throughout production to ensure specifications are being met
2. Implement HOLD procedure as required with effective communication to all teams
3. Communicate quality concerns to all relevant teams such as production and procurement
Site Standards
1. Coach and mentor the production teams to understand "what good looks like" for GMP standards
2. Conduct GMP challenge audits to ensure results are an accurate reflection of what is really happening
3. Collate and trend results from black bag audits
Technical and Quality Data Analysis
1. Review factory paperwork throughout production, collate and file in good order. Be the lead on site for conducting product traceability and mass balance exercises
2. Supporting the Technical and Quality teams with generating Technical KPI data and periodic reports such as Complaints, Micro, non-conformances
3. Support with complaint investigation with ensuring complaint investigations are completed thoroughly and accurately
4. Use root cause analysis in resolving incidents and non-conformances
5. Work with the technical and operational team to provide support for quality improvement initiatives.
6. Support the preparation of visual standards and quality contracts for retailers
7. Support Quality team meetings with meeting note recordings and actions
Activities and Resources
1. Follow relevant SOP's and ensure relevant QP's/ CCP's are adhered to
2. Ensure all company issued sampling and investigation testing regimes are carried out in a timely manner and non-conformances raised and actioned appropriately
3. Report immediately to appropriate manager on incidents and situations potentially hazardous to health and safety of personnel and equipment that comes to your notice.
4. Perform internal audits as requested
