Obstetrics and Gynaecology ST3-7 Training Programme Director (NHS Medical & Dental: Consultant) - Obstetrics and Gynaecology - NHS England
We are looking to recruit to the post of Obstetrics & Gynaecology Training Programme Director for ST3-7 Trainees. This will be seconded for 3 years and there could be a possibility this contract can be extended for a further 2 years. This post will be for 2 hours per week (0.5 EMC).
The role of Training Programme Director is to work with and support the Head of School in leading the delivery of a wide range of functions, aligned to the Health Education England mandate. The GMC requires that Training Programmes are led by TPDs (or their equivalent).
The Training Programme Director is professionally and managerially accountable to the Head of School. The Training Programme Director will focus upon improvement of learner supervision, assessment and experience, engagement of faculty and ensuring effective educational outcomes, both now and in the future. The role is evolving and will also focus on whole workforce transformation and developing multi-professional links.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you’ll usually need to be paid the ‘standard’ salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the ‘going rate’ for your job, whichever is higher.
The TPD has responsibility for managing the specialty training programme, including recruitment and quality management of the programme.
Secondments: Applicants from within the NHS will be offered on a secondment basis only; agreement should be obtained from their employer prior to submitting the application.
