Job Description
To follow responsibilities, so that all duties and operations are being performed as effectively as possible. Provide support to the warehouse supervisor as required. Ensure that production is stocked correctly so that the lines are running efficiently.
1. Responsible for the receipt of incoming goods, order picking and loading of completed orders in a safety conscious and time critical environment.
2. Assemble customer orders from order profile
3. Use the radio data terminal (RDT) - access customers order using the RDT which details warehouse location and product information
4. Ensure the correct amount of product is picked and built correctly and safely onto a pallet, in line with warehouse procedures
5. Stretch wrap the completed order to secure it and present it to the appropriate marshalling area
6. Remove incoming loads from vehicles paying attention to best before dates, product description, quantity and quality. Utilise the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to support the Goods in activity
7. Load picked and marshalled pallets from the marshalling area to outward bound vehicles using WMS
8. Meet required Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
9. Ensure that all equipment is operated safely and used in line with training
10. Adhere to clean as you go policy with a special focus on the company’s recycling and waste management program
11. Ensure that all Personal Protective Equipment is used, worn and maintained at all times and that all breaches in Health, Safety and Welfare are reported immediately to the site management team
12. Undertake further Warehouse Operative duties, as requested by supervisor/ manager
Qualifications
13. Experience of using a hand pallet truck
14. Use of radio data terminal (RDT)
15. Able to work under pressure
16. Must possess a reasonable level of verbal & numerical reasoning
17. Attention to detail and accuracy
18. Ability to work as part of a team
19. Adaptable approach to training
20. Conscientious and reliable
21. Good working attitude
22. Previous experience in a similar environment desirable but not essential”
23. FLT/Flexi experience/certificate would be beneficial as there is an option of progression
