Your new companyWe are working with a growing business in Sheffield. They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.
Your new role
* Engage in daily accounting duties such as processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.
* Assist the finance team by ensuring accurate financial records are maintained and addressing enquiries related to accounts payable and receivable.
* Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing activities, including recording and assigning customer payments to Sage accounts.
* Manage bank and cash flow operations by conducting daily bank reconciliations and updating the cash flow model.
* Generating debtor and creditor lists, completing VAT returns, and producing various financial reports.
* Oversee payroll processes, manage pension schemes, and handle year-end payroll tasks. Additionally, support the preparation of year-end accounts and assist with audit processes.
