Program Manager
About this role:
We are currently hiring for a Program Manager to provide support to the GVP, EMEAI & APJ, Executive Technical Services (ETS). ETS is an exclusive, membership-based organization serving over 8,500 CIOs and senior IT leaders across 87 countries. Reporting directly to the GVP, you will be providing him with professional, highly efficient, timely and very structured support in his day to day operations of a business unit consisting of over 150 employees spread across Europe, Emerging Markets, APAC and Japan. This is a hybrid role (virtual and office based) aligned to our Gartner office in Egham, UK.
What you’ll do:
1. Provide high level, complex and, at times, highly confidential administrative support.
2. Be prepared to be proactive and to work on your own initiative in order to take ownership and accountability of both new and existing projects.
3. Effectively manage the GVP's Outlook calendar, be able to prioritize multiple scheduling demands and communicate with internal and external stakeholders in an effective and professional manner.
4. Organize all aspects of the regular travel requirements e.g. flights, VISAs, accommodation, transport etc.
5. Track and report on budgets and T&E working closely with the finance partners, business leaders and individuals.
6. There is an element of ‘Event’ management in this role with responsibility for organizing the GVP’s Leadership Team meeting annually; this will include budget management, venue liaison, being the point person for all queries / arrangements etc.
7. Maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion / good judgment and manage sensitive client and internal information with professionalism and integrity.
8. Build strong relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams.
9. You will be required to be in the office on occasion and there may be the need to travel to Gartner events.
What you’ll need:
1. 5-8+ years of administrative support in a professional, fast paced, high profile environment.
2. Extremely strong organizational skills, time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
3. Experience of working on multiple tasks, projects and / or initiatives at any one time.
4. Clear, concise, and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
5. Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
6. Working across multiple time zones and in a multi-cultural environment would be highly beneficial.
7. Problem solving skills, agility, initiative, and the ability to build very strong relationships internally and externally are also key.
