IT Solutions - Business Development Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Sales Team as a Business Development Manager (Internal Sales) to initially be office based following probation moving to hybrid, based in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
An ideal role for a target driven and motivated individual looking to develop their career in sales.
The individual will have the responsibility for generating net new qualified opportunities and work alongside Account Directors to see them to close, whilst also working on nurturing existing customers to ensure their requirements are consistently met and exceeded.
We are looking for confident people who thrive on working in a highly demanding environment, as they'll be expected to hit the ground running on the phone in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Building working relationships with customers and vendors
2. Build Business within Existing and Net new customers
3. Phone selling next generation IT networking and Cyber Security Solutions
4. Making At Least 70 Call Attempts each day
5. Proactively managing prospects to generate net new leads via an Online CRM system
6. Composing email follow ups to support marketing campaigns and events
7. Creating proposals and quotation documentation
8. Attending meetings with customers (where applicable)
9. Achieving daily/weekly/monthly KPI’s
10. Maintain an accurate sales forecast
11. Develop and maintain a good understanding of the company’s products and services
Minimum Requirements:
1. 2+ years’ experience in an IT Security technology Sales role
2. Previous experience working within a cold calling environment is essential
3. Detail-oriented and organised
4. Highly motivated and enjoy a fast-paced environment
5. Ability to work independently, autonomously and take initiative
6. Ability to multi-task and proactively manage various tasks
7. Excellent time management and written and verbal communication skills
8. Ability to demonstrate drive and ambition
9. Use of Microsoft Office applications
10. Good attention to detail
11. A real self-starter who has a genuine passion for businesses
12. Curious about technology, networks and/or IT security
