The post holder willberesponsible for the efficient running of our Primary Care Centre. As thefirst point of contact for patients attending ourdepartment, the postholderwillwelcomepatientson their arrivalandregisterthemonto the clinical databaseand respond to enquiries ensuring confidentiality isalways maintained. Thispost requiresexcellentcommunication skillsand the ability to work under pressure using own initiative toprioritise patientswho require urgent attentionusing departmental guidelines.
* Welcomepatientsto theout of hours GP servicein a courteous and helpful manner trying to allay fears and anxieties that theymay have.
* Book patients onto theclinical database collecting all relevant information intimelyandaccuratemanner
* Be able todemonstrateindependent working while working in a constantly changing environment and without direct supervision but being able to ask the team for advice whenrequired.
* Be able to act on own initiative manage own daily workloadcomprisingof both routine and unpredictable/unplanned activities
Previous experience of working in a healthcare environment
* Can work under pressure and remain calm
