Project Manager £59.04 per hour Umbrella Morson are recruiting for a Project Manager to report to the Head of Service Management & Capability Delivery for one of our Aerospace clients based in Samlesbury. You would be responsible for ensuring that the delegated authority for the performance of the Service Management activities across the business is appropriately governed. Providing functional governance, the role is responsible for the effects of undertakings and communicating operational activities to the strategic vision of the sector support. Service Management is the project management skill set associated with a support environment. It typically requires someone with a knowledge/experience of aircraft support and maintenance from a project management point of view. This role will be looking to help develop the appropriate governance to apply and then looking to mobilise new processes and procedures. This role is being offered on a 12-month contract, with 3 days a week expected on site. We can offer a rate of £59.04 per hour Umbrella. Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring that all Service management activities can be financed and carried out in accordance with the standard issued by the competent authority. Accountable for the organisation's compliance with the relevant regulations, the expositions and associated manuals elated to Service Management. At this level would be expected to identify and once approved embed change as required, ensuring compliance. Overall responsibility for the Service Management. As a senior manager this role will set an example to the business and champion all behaviours across the service. Management of cross functional teams at an executive level. The role will have the responsibility for making decisions on the acceptable application of SM capabilities to ensure that governance is being achieved. Requirements Relevant experience as a Project Manager or Service Manager within a high-level engineering industry such as Aerospace. A comprehensive understanding of business regulatory requirements both in the UK and overseas operating environments. Ability to establish relationships with a wide variety of key stakeholders to ensure full compliance with all internal & external processes. Able to provide PM Assurance to the Business as well as defining the Support PM Strategy for the Business. Significant and varied working knowledge and experience of General Management Competencies. Significant and varied working knowledge and experience of Service Management Competencies including the core functional elements from PM, Commercial, Finance. Degree/HND qualified, or equivalent experience and Qualification preferred. Membership of a professional organisation preferred (e.g. EIT, APM, PMI). Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will need to be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
